Abstract

Background Telepsychiatry has become much more widely established due to the public health emergency posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. Objective This study aimed to discuss the telepsychiatry model adopted at UConn Health and explore the success of this model. Methods We conducted anonymous surveys of both psychiatry clinicians as well as patients, collecting information on their satisfaction with telepsychiatry visits. Results We found that telepsychiatry visits were widely accepted by both clinicians and patients, including older adults. Conclusions Telepsychiatry is a valuable way to increase access to care and is widely accepted by both clinicians and patients. Conflicts of Interest None declared.
