Abstract

In the setting of the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic, telemedicine has played an integral role in providing and maintaining patients’ access to care. This study aimed to evaluate the accuracy of planned oral surgery treatment for patients evaluated by telemedicine in the department of oral and maxillofacial surgery. Accuracy was defined as the ability to proceed with planned surgery with the chosen anesthetic regimen, namely local anesthesia, local anesthesia with valium, intravenous sedation, and general anesthesia without the need for further preoperative consultation.
