Abstract

The Tele-Sounder, now produced as a trial model by us, is designed to set a recorder at a land station and to transmit ultra short wave frequency-modulated by pulse signal, by operating the recorder, which are recovered by the buoy station set in the remote water surface. The buoy station transmits and receives ultra supersonic waves directed into the sea, transmitting ultra short wave frequency-modulated by the information signals to the land station, and the recorder at a land station records the midwater situation directly under the buoy. The Tele-Sounder is fully transistorized to make compact and light. The tests on the sea has resulted in the following data. 1. The fidelity of acquired records is excellent. 2. The transmitting distance between the land and buoy stations is up to 4.5Km on the sea (42MC band, transmission power is 100mW). 3. As the status of fish group coming into the set net has been clearly observed, when we tried to fit buoy station in the opening of set net, it is expected to be further applied in the set net fishery.
