Abstract
Conflict in the household is a normal thing. Usually, conflicts in the household are caused by husbands' and wives' rights that have not been fulfilled. This study aims to examine the quality of the hadith regarding the rights of wives in the household. The literature review method is used in this research. Researchers found several matan of hadiths that explain the rights of a wife in the household narrated by Abu Dawud. The hadith that describes the rights of the wife in the household, the history of Abu Dawud has a good sanad quality, has a good matan quality, and meets the criteria of sahih hadith. Furthermore, this study's results will benefit society; especially will benefit husbands, to fulfill their wives' rights in the household.

ََحدَّثَ َنا ُمو َسى ْب ُن إِ ْس َما ِعي َل َحدَّثَ َنا َح َّمادٌ أَ ْخ َب َر َنا أَبُو قَ َز َعةَ ا ْل َبا ِه ِل ُّى َع ْن َح ِكي ِم ْب ِن ُمعَا ِو َية ا ْلقُ َش ْي ِر ِى َع ْن أَ ِبي ِه قَا َل قُ ْل ُت َيا َر ُسو َل َّلَّل ِا َما َح ُّق َز ْو َج ِة أَ َح ِد َنا َعلَ ْي ِه قَا َل « أَ ْن تُ ْط ِع َم َها إِذَا َّ َولاَ تَ ْض ِر ِب ا ْل َو ْجهَ َولاَ تُقَ ِب ْح َولاَ تَ ْه ُج ْر إِلا- أَ ِو ا ْكتَ َس ْب َت- َط ِع ْم َت َوتَ ْك ُس َو َها إِذَا ا ْكتَ َس ْي َت Artinya: Musa ibn Isma’il bercerita kepadaku, Hammad bercerita kepadaku, Abu Qaza’ah al-Bahili mengabarkan kepadaku dari Hakim ibn Mu’awiyah al-Qusyairi dari ayahnya, Ayahnya berkata: “Aku berkata, wahai Rasulullah apa sajakah hak istri kita?”, Rasul pun menjawab: “Hendaknya istrimu kau beri makan jika kau makan, jika kau bekerja, hendaknya kau beri pakaian kepadanya, jangan pukul wajahnya, jangan mencela dan menjauhi (pisah ranjang sementara) kecuali dalam rumah”
