The methodology was quantitative, under a non-experimental cross-sectional design, the sample is 40 agricultural producers to whom the instrument called Trust Index questionnaire was applied. The study identified the categories credibility, respect, impartiality, pride and camaraderie as notable elements in the substrate of the organizational fabric; where producers play a relevant role in local development processes. The research concludes that sustainable development in rural areas requires adequate intra- and inter-organizational collaborative relationships and that public policies and private interventions must allocate budgets to the promotion of efficient associations with a high organizational climate.
