Abstract

This last chapter shifts the discussion to wider terrain, and particularly to considerations of language and literacy research and education. In summarising and discussing in detail the key findings of my research inquiry, in the first part of this chapter I bring together the various threads from my investigations and draw a link between the main points of each chapter and the questions posed at the beginning of the book, while in the second part I discuss their broader implications for English language pedagogy and school practices as well as for language and literacy research in general.
