Abstract

The ABCD study is a large multisite research study initiated by the NIH and involves the cooperation of NIDA and many other divisions of the NIH. It is a long-term study over 4 years into data collection, but it has already led to many useful findings that can inform us about adolescent substance use disorders. The objective of this Symposium is to present the scientific data from the ABCD study as it pertains to teen substance use disorder (SUD). In addition, we hope to show how these data impact today’s practitioner of child and adolescent psychiatry and inform our diagnosis and treatment decisions on a daily basis.
