Abstract

Smith and Jacobi (2001) made a fundamental and fatal error in their attempt to interpret eustatic sea level changes on the basis of a sedimentological and sequence stratigraphic interpretation of upper Frasnian-lower Famennian strata in the Appalachian basin of western New York.
