Abstract

In this paper, through the characteristics analysis to an example of a thin-walled frame component part in a large precision instrument, some reasonable technology strategies of controlling machining deformation are proposed that included optimizing process route, designing rational clamping method and fixture layout, choosing preferably cutting tool, programming optimal cutting method and tool path, etc.. The way of machining large thin-walled frame component parts in the ordinary NC milling machine is achieved. And it effectively reduces the machining deformation. This way provides guiding and reference for NC milling of the similar thin-walled frame component parts.
