Abstract

There is a disproportionate burden of morbidity, mortality and prevalence of asthma in minority populations. To address these challenges, we built upon a pilot program to engage under-served patients using validated respiratory health screening tools to identify at-risk patients who were offered a telehealth coaching intervention (THCI) with a customized smartphone self-care app with virtual education.
