Abstract

This paper describes the current situation of the LNG storage tank leakage problem, monitoring the temperature field through the cryogenic characteristics of LNG. The thermal-solid coupling model has been established in the GAMBIT software. The two conditions (inner tank rupture and insulation failure) of LNG storage tank leakage were monitored and analyzed through FLUENT software. Numerical simulation on leakage temperature field was done to acquire the temperature field change rule, which provides technical support for further study of the failure of the tank. Thus, the LNG storage tank can work more safely and effectively.
