Abstract

New Orleans, USA is the venue for the 13th International Conference on Technology and Education, which will have as its focus `Technology and communications: catalyst for educational change'. Taking place on 17-20 March, the meeting will have ten sub-themes, each examining a particular aspect of development and progress and each with an invited keynote speaker. There will also be four plenary session presentations from internationally recognized leaders in the theoretical and practical application of technology in education, which will have an interest for the whole conference. Numbered among the sub-themes are: information technology and educational policy; implementation in the classroom; educational tools; distance and open learning; information technology in teacher education; UNESCO and other worldwide case studies; and research programmes.
