Abstract

The article analyzes trends in the development of methods and means of informationpsychological warfare in the world and in Russia. The types, principles of operation and features of the use of information and psychological weapons, as well as the technical means and technologies on which they rely, are considered. Information is provided on existing models of informationpsychological weapons and examples of their use by different countries. The possibility of Russia using information and psychological weapons against the defense forces and citizens of Ukraine is considered as a real threat to the national security of the state. The risks of transformation of the consciousness and subconscious of the population under the influence of information and psychological weapons are analyzed. The mechanisms of influence of television and the Internet on human consciousness are indicated, as well as the principles of their use by the enemy during psychological operations against Ukraine. The need for Ukraine to take preventive measures to protect military personnel and citizens of Ukraine from the effects of information and psychological weapons is pointed out.
