Abstract

This focused issue is one of several activities promoted in the framework of the IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques Society (MTT-S) Technical Committee (TC) 28, Biological Effects and Medical Applications. TC28 regularly develops a variety of activities in topics related to applications of RF and microwave technology in medicine and biology. These include the organization of special issues or review papers for the most important scientific journals, support of scientific conferences and events, proposals for special sessions and workshops, and management of fellowship programs.
