Abstract

Urban Air Mobility (UAM) refers to the provision of mobility services in an urban environment using air vehicles. As this important and growing domain evolves, it is clear that new operational concepts, regulations and standards will be needed, underpinned by existing and new technologies. The whole environment will need to integrate safely with manned aviation and air traffic control. This paper discusses the design of demonstration activities within the TINDAiR project (Tactical Instrumental De-confliction And in-flight Resolution), which is performing the demonstration of four UAM use cases in real environment, aimed to deliver strategic and innovative technologies that can drive competitiveness and UAM growth using an impact-oriented approach and to demonstrate the safe integration of UAM vehicles as additional airspace users.
