Abstract

Ways of intensification of complex parts machining on the modern metal-cutting equipment were proposed and clearly described. A problem-oriented classification of bracket-type parts has been developed, which is based on the relationship between design and technological parameters of parts. It gives further development to the process of searching for fixture configurations for given production conditions in computer-aided design of technological equipment. The engineering method of coding bracket-type parts has been developed based on the design and technological parameters of parts and can be implemented in computer-aided fixture design systems. Structural code can be used in computer simulation of fixtures and information-retrieval systems. The necessity of intensification of bracket-type parts machining is substantiated. The progressive manufacturing process was proposed considering cutting-edge tendencies in machining and technological capabilities of modern equipment.
