Abstract
The paper studies modeling of Wind-Solar PV and Wind-Solar PV-Biomass hybrid energy system. The main objective of this paper is modeling of Wind-Solar PV hybrid system with no energy storage. The modeling is done on the basis of energy demand and available energy resources for particular site. The system is modelled with the consideration of minimum initial investment, minimum cost of energy (i.e. COE) and minimum deficit in power i.e. Loss of Power Supply Probability (LPSP). The paper describes the relation between reliability and initial investment for both the Wind-Solar PV and Wind-Solar PV-Biomass energy system. Renewable resource data is practically measured at site for one year is considered for modeling. The load considered is Program Energy Technology, Shivaji University, Kolhapur. MATLAB programming is done for the modeling of hybrid energy system.
