Abstract

This paper considers compositional-geometrical-shape forming of crystalline dome shells (CDS) examined by investigating objective properties of basic shapes, vis. regular crystalline polyhedra and their derivatives. The analysis of these properties reveals the main techniques for defining, constructing and exposing CDS forms proposed for use in designing dome structures.
