Abstract

ABSTRACT By planning in advance and following proven techniques, many of the problems associated with the running and cementing of deep liners can be alleviated. Detailed considerations of casing designs, drilling fluid properties, cement designs, and special techniques are discussed. Due to the nature of wells drilled in the Anadarko Basin, as with any area where abnormally high formation pressures are encountered, it has been noted that poor primary cementing jobs can often plague a well throughout its productive life. This paper deals with procedures which can be followed that should assist in planning and performing the job. Shown will be four separate tubular configurations dealing with three typical Anadarko Basin productive objectives.
