Abstract
高度情報化社会の急速な発展を背景にコンピュータシステムの低消費電力化が喫緊の課題となっている．一方でハードウェア設計コストの上昇に伴って，ソフトウェア及びデータコンテンツによるコンピュータ製品の差別化がますます重要になりつつある．結果的にソフトウェアとデータによる低消費電力化はコンピュータシステムの付加価値を生み出す重要な鍵になると考えられる．本論文では，ソフトウェアの動作に関連付けてハードウェアの消費電力をモデル化する技術とハードウェアが電力を消費しないように制御するソフトウェア技術について解説する．
