Abstract

In this article, the authors present a novel technique to enhance the bandwidth of a probe-fed Cylindrical Dielectric Resonator Antenna (CDRA). The bandwidth of the CDRA is enhanced by using a tunnel like co-centric cut through the CDRA, making it annular DRA. An extensive simulation results is proposed by employing an electromagnetic solver (HFSS). This technique provides significant enhancement of bandwidth. We have also investigated return loss and impedance characteristics of the proposed structure.
