Technique for using the EEA stapler for low anterior resection of the rectum entirely from the abdominal approach

Abstract

A technique for using an abdominal approach with the EEA stapling instrument for low colorectal anastomosis is described. Our early experience with more than 30 patients suggests that this method is associated with fewer complications and less morbidity than conventional suture anastomosis.
