Abstract

Methods and techniques are proposed for dielectric measurements of water-mineral systems. Specifications are formulated for their construction and a design for a capacitive primary measurement converter is developed for monitoring natural and manmade mineral water-saturated systems. A method is developed for calculating equivalent input conductivity and its components based on a cascade combination of elements of an extended coaxial primary measurement converter. Mathematical modelling and experimental studies of the proposed converter confirm the efficiency of using it for monitoring the state of bound water in natural and manmade water-saturated mineral systems.
