Abstract

For selective intubation in thoracic surgery, we use a standard tracheal single-lumen cuffed tube.To intube the right main bronchus, the right main bronchus, the probe is pushed forewards in ordinary position (cuff. Catheter upwards). To intube the left main bronchus the probe is turned of 180° (cuff-catheter down) and pushed in the bronchus. The ventilatory exclusion is checked by auscultation.
