Abstract

Total endoscopic treatment of cervical disc herniation is mainly divided into anterior and posterior surgery, as a spine micro-innovation technology, with the help of intraoperative imaging and positioning system. By establishing anterior or posterior minimally invasive surgical pathways to reach the lesion site, the protrusion of cervical intervertebral disc can be removed directly by using endoscopic surgical instruments to relieve the pressure on the nerve and spinal cord. This treatment has the advantages of less surgical trauma, less loss of spinal stability, less complications of spinal fusion and no influence on muscular ligaments. It has been widely recognized by spinal surgeons. With the progress of endoscopic minimally invasive technique, total endoscopic treatment of cervical disc herniation will become a safe and effective minimally invasive technique for spine.
