Abstract
The dynamics of technical states of unique mechanical systems is given in the form of a model consisting of mutually conditioned and interacting elements reflecting continuous and discrete degradation processes. The model elements representing each state and process are a formalization of knowledge and are characterized by a structure and a set of properties and parameters. This ensures efficient use of information technologies and artificial intelligence methods and facilities for the investigation and substantiation of properties and parameters characterizing a technical state, causing its change, and enabling predictions.
