Abstract

Recent advances in interventional radiology have greatly increased the range of lesions that can be treated by percutaneous transluminal angioplasty. Thus, there are increasing numbers of reports dealing with angioplasty of infrapopliteal arterial occlusions by conventional intraluminal angioplasty [1,2] and we have recently described the use of the subintimal technique in this situation [3]. We present a case of recanalisation of all three infrapopliteal arteries using subintimal angioplasty in a patient with critical ischaemia.
