Abstract
The expediency of transition to the principle of wavelength multiplexing scheme in the process of building the telecommunications infrastructure of modern data centers. Grounded computational model to determine the maximum length of the optical channel, which takes into account the dependence of attenuation- and bandwidth factors on the wavelength. Evaluated technical benefit to using a new generation wideband multimode optical fiber of category OM5.
