Abstract

Purpose. To study the level of technical equipment of domestic agricultural production and investment and innovation support for its development in the context of European integration processes. Methods. Monographic, system analysis, abstract and logical. Results. Based on the results of an analytical study of the current state of the technical and technological base of domestic agro-industrial enterprises, the current model of agriculture in Ukraine is defined as industrial. In contrast, the leading European countries are characterised by post-industrial (innovative) agricultural production. Conclusions. The prospects of Ukraine‘s accession to the European space necessitate the development of a high-tech domestic agriculture based on the principles of sustainable development, which will ensure competitiveness and efficient agricultural business based on innovative production technologies and a modern machine and tractor fleet for their implementation. The development of a qualitatively new model of agriculture in Ukraine requires the development of a state strategy for updating the technical and technological base of agricultural production, which should outline the guidelines and priorities of domestic machine building for the agro-industrial complex.
