Abstract

The emergency landing safety of emergency evacuation slides can be improved greatly by using lighting components, especially in dark environments. To design a required lighting system, two problems need to be solved, which are also the focus of this paper. Firstly, what airworthiness compliance work should be planned and how to do it. Secondly, how to design to meet the airworthiness requirements should be considered. A complete and effective airworthiness compliance method was proposed by analyzing various performance characteristics such as self-opening function, lighting duration, illuminance, and installation environment. Airworthiness requirements are decomposed into design features, and the design requirements of lighting components are put forward. This study can provide verification methods and design ideas for the lighting components of civil aircraft emergency evacuation slides.
