Abstract

Labelling of a homologous series of 2,3-dioximinoalkanes in Tween 40 formulations with 99mTc has been achieved in aqueous medium using the solubilized method earlier reported for the 2,3-diamine ligand series. The 99mTc-dioxime complexes were anionic, and their formations were more facile than those of the diamines. The complexes were more stable over a wider pH range than the diamine complexes but the effect of the Tween 40 surfactant on some ‘physico-chemical measurements of the two series of complexes is similar. The similarity observed in some of the physico-chemical properties of these complexes has been used to propose similar octahedral structures having the same dioxotechnetium centre.
