Abstract
ABSTRACT Tenneco Oil Company generated a prospect in Western Oklahoma that was not economically viable at the current projected drilling costs. This paper presents an innovative drilling contract and aggressive techniques utilized to make the prospect economical. The drilling contract created a teamwork atmosphere between the contractor and operator that resulted in a safe and record setting 13,380’ well.
