Abstract

Readers who are steeping in labor history will suddenly think of words such as “organized crime,” “corruption,” or “trusteeship” when reading the title of this article. For 30 years, the International Brotherhood of Teamsters operated under a cloud of trusteeship of the federal government. In 2020, that trusteeship formally ended. However, as recently announced by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, legal troubles still plague certain Teamsters locals.
