Abstract

We describe a popular and effective experience-based Performing to Learn curriculum in management and leadership studies. We have developed and tested experiential learning cycle methods, integrated in Perform - Reflect - Design sequences, for our introductory business, mid-level investments and capstone strategy courses, culminating in an especially successful senior general education Leadership Studies seminar. Lessons from these curricular experiments strongly confirm those from our own organizational leadership and management experiences in business, military and academic organizations: Experiential learning methods provide solid bridges between theory and practice in Management and Leadership education.
