Abstract

This book describes the transformation of university and college libraries into teaching libraries which offer space and services for academic learning and promote information literacy in particular. It discusses changes in young people's information behaviour, handling the growing amount of digital information, important skills for searching, selecting, assessing and processing information and media, and learning infrastructures. The book presents a large number of models and practical examples, citing international projects (from the UK and the USA).
