Abstract

Introduction and purpose of the study: In a school context where little time is spent on cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), compression-only CPR can be taught using peers and alternative equipment1. According to the expectancy-value theory, non-realistic didactical tools could influence motivation and therefore learning outcomes2. This study evaluates student's appreciation of alternative CPR training strategies.
