Abstract

Purpose. The article is devoted to the study of telecollaboration technology as one of the means of digital communication aimed at developing interaction between students from different geographical, cultural and/or linguistic contexts and facilitating exchange, dialogue, debate and consolidation of linguistic, cultural and digital competencies.
 Methodology. The research is based on the theoretical study and synthesis of scientific and methodological literature, as well as Internet resources related to the research topic; general scientific method – analysis is used. Evaluation of the effectiveness of educational material visualization was carried out by observing the students’ educational activity, conversations.
 Results. The results of the study showed that collaboration technology as a kind of ICT can be used in foreign language classes to activate students’ educational activities, increase their language competence and motivation. As a result of the analysis of the scientific material, it was suggested that the use of blended learning tools and Web 2.0, which are aimed at taking advantage of collaborative learning and the assimilation of experience, will allow teachers to develop their ICT skills and improve their teaching methods, and students to participate in active and interactive learning, which also makes students’ progress visible and facilitates the assessment of knowledge.
 Practical implications. The results of the study will help to implement the tools of blended learning and Web 2.0 in teaching a foreign language at school.
