Abstract
Social Capital enables teachers/caregivers to invest themselves affectively, through their behaviours, in efforts toward children's achievement. Its five dimensions, combined and implemented, allow preschool practitioners to strengthen their care of young children, and thus, increase the chances of teaching effectiveness. This concept embodies the notion that “giving of oneself to childcare insures children's learning”.
