Abstract

Summary The Job Characteristics Model of Motivation, developed by Hackman and Oldham, proposed interactive relationships between job characteristics, psychological states and worker motivation. The Job Diagnostic Survey (JDS) has provided a useful diagnostic tool for business settings. This project tested the utility of the JDS to diagnose factors affecting teachers’ motivation.
