Teacher's Contribution in Cultivating the Environmental Ethics

Abstract

We all are a part of nature and most of us knew well that what the environment literally means. People worldwide are realizing its importance as they are able to smell a polluted tomorrow. Careful handling of today's environment would only serve as a legacy for tomorrow's generations. The earth is endowed with plentiful recourses. But men become master of the nature. He explored it and made the environment polluted and unsafe for the future generation. He also becomes the enemy of the flora and fauna. Today this problem becomes the global issue. Therefore we need some ethical issues to save the environment not only for our best future but also for the goodness of the flora and fauna. Ethics like: the developmental ethics, the preservation ethics, the conservation ethics, industrial and environmental ethics at individual level and the global environmental ethics, are needed to save and preserve the environment for our future generation and bio diversity. Teachers are playing a vital role in strengthening the ethics. Their contribution in cultivating environmental ethics among students is important, appreciable and unforgettable even than we need much more to do.
