Abstract

The purpose of the study is to determine the significant relationship between level of teachers’ pedagogic competence to level of academic achievement of grade six pupils in District 1 in the Division of San Jose Del Monte. There were 100 English teachers in District 1 who were used as respondents of the study. The level of pedagogic competence of teachers was measured using the descriptive questionnaire while the academic achievement of pupils was determined using the document of the 2017 Achievement Test in the Division. The Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficient was used to analyze and interpret the significant relationship between variables. It had been found out in the findings of the study that there was a positive significant relationship on all indicators for level of teachers’ pedagogic competence to pupils’ academic achievement in English that includes speaking, listening, reading and writing.
