Abstract
Transverse electric surface waves are analyzed in a plasma medium bounded by a left-handed material. A dispersion relation is obtained by applying the boundary conditions for the tangential eld components. Numerical investigations show the dependence of e ective wave index on the propagation frequency for di erent thicknesses and number densities of the plasma medium and also for di erent values of the lling factor of left-handed material.
