Abstract

Global crisis scenario world over has motivated researchers and practitioners to explore the area. The rapid advances in the technology domain have gained further attraction owing to its dynamically changing nature and the tangibles involved. The present paper attempts to explore the subject of assessing technological dimensions of crisis preparedness in the context of banking. Using proven research methodological tools and practices, 14 items were identified for technological crisis preparedness assessment. Data was collected from different bank branches across India from 339 respondents. Factor analysis finally resulted in a three factor structure to measure technological dimensions of crisis preparedness (TDCP). Results were validated using content, contrast and criteria validity tests. Finally, this paper draws implications for researchers and practitioners.
