Abstract

A recent near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) study showed culprit lesions in ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) are frequently characterized by a maximum lipid core burden index in 4-mm (maxLCBI4mm) >400. The frequency of this finding in non-STEMI (NSTEMI) culprit lesions is unknown.
