Abstract

Developmental Disorders (DD) encompasses a group of mental conditions originated in childhood that involve severe impairments in various aspects (physical, learning, language or behavioral). These disorders include communication disorders, intellectual disabilities, specific learning disorders, movement disorders, autism spectrum disorders, and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). The consequences of DD cause disabilities that can last a lifetime, affecting a child's ability to learn and participate in community integration. Currently, there are many studies in the world and in Vietnam on specialized therapeutic interventions for children with DD. The article proposes an approach as a method in educational intervention for this group of children with DD, which is to integrate the preschool education program with activities group therapy. The article presents the basic theoretical research bases, thereby proposing ways to integrate the preschool education program with group therapy with the content of rules and activities in the program. The Early Childhood Education program can integrate and propose notes when integrating the Early Childhood Education program in therapeutic interventions for children with DD.
