Abstract

The aim of this study is to determine the opinions of teachers participating in nature and ecology-based environmental education activities within the scope of TUBITAK (The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey)-4004 coded Nature and Science Schools project regarding nature and environment education. This research was conducted in order to reveal the ability of the teachers to influence the development of the eighth (nature) fields as a result of nature and environmental education and to transfer the knowledge, experience and experience gained from them to their students in science education. A semi-structured interview was conducted with eight teachers participating in nature and environmental education. Teachers' views and recommendations were passed on to the editorial without being changed. Descriptive analysis method was used for data analysis. In line with the opinions of the teachers, positive results were obtained regarding TUBITAK(The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey)-4004 coded nature and environmental education projects.
