Based on the fern collections of recent botanical expeditions to the Moluccas, five species of Ophio glossaceae, six species of Marattiaceae, one species of Osmundaceae, one species of Matoniaceae, 10 species and seven varieties of Gleicheniaceae, eight species of Schizaeaceae, and two species of Plagiogyriaceae are recorded from Ambon Island and Seram Island
