Abstract
As a result of a rather broad generic concept, and of a basically morphological approach to species delimitation, 6 species of Septoria are accepted on Betulaceae : S. alni, S. alnifolia, S. betulae, S. betulae-odoratae, S. ostryae and S. weiriana . These are fully described and illustrated and a key is provided. Cercoseptoria septoriopsidis and Phloeosporella borealis comb.nov., are proposed and a list of 12 related, doubtful and excluded taxa is appended.
