Abstract

Based on examination of both herbarium specimens (including the types) and living plants, and analysis of protologues and distributions, Parnassia chengkouensis and P. dilatata are found to be conspecific with P. wightiana, a species widespread from North India to South China and North Thailand. Therefore, the two names are reduced to the synonymy of P. wightiana.
