Abstract
Cloud computing is a pattern of distributed computing, involved in a large number of resources and requests, which aims to share the resources as services over the Internet. Since the optimal use of these services is an endless challenge, the problem of task and workflow scheduling in cloud computing is important. Scheduling algorithms try to provide optimal scheduling to increase resource efficiency and, as a result, increase computational power. In this paper, various types of scheduling algorithms have been categorised. Then, several scheduling methods in the cloud computing environment are reviewed. Ultimately, the algorithms are tabulated presenting their advantages and disadvantages along with their scheduling tools and factors.
